We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Four people have died as a result of norovirus, an easily spread cause of diarheea and vomiting, caused by infection associated with contact with the contaminated flood waters of New Orleans.
The EPA is testing what, exactly, is in the flood waters, and preliminary results will be available by weeks end.
It is known now, however, that e. coli is present in the water at 450,000 times safe levels.
NOPD officials say there are about 10,000 residents remaining in New Orleans, and those will be removed by force, if necessary.
A makeshift jail has been made at the New Orleans bus station--the first inmate was an individual who drove up to get a bus ticket out of town in a car he had stolen.
Eko-wackos are on their ever vigilant nannyism--scientists are warning about the long-term damage to the ecosystem by pumping New Orleans flood waters back into Lake Ponchatrain (like, where do they want it pumped?)
And the pumping? Three pumping stations are online, of the city's 148 pumps, and each is moving 4,600 cubic feet per second. This is somewhat better than a portable pump the Army Corps of Engineers had been using, which moved 9 cubic feet per second.
Flood waters should be removed in 3 1/2 weeks from eastern New Orleans, and in 2 1/2 months from Chalmette.
The good news is that 182,000 people have been rescued.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I read this on the blogs tonight and i couldn't believe it. I sent an email to Fox News.
Here is the gist of it.
Geraldo Rivera arrives in a Fox News truck. An elderly woman with blond hair grips his elbow. She's wearing thick dark glasses and a pink shirt. He carries her small white dog in his arms. He's wearing thigh-high waders unzipped to below his knees. We shake hands. "Her relative called one of our stations," Geraldo tells me, explaining how that call went to another station, and then another, and finally to him.
The woman had been stranded in her home for six days. Geraldo picked up the woman and her dog and brought them here. The woman looks frail on his arm, though not as bad perhaps as a lady collapsed on a chair nearby, unable to move. Or a woman in a wheelchair being lifted from the truck, carrying her prosthetic leg on her lap.
"That's the second time he brought her here," one of the doctors tells me, nodding toward Geraldo.
"What?"
"They did two takes. Geraldo made that poor woman walk from the Fox News van to the heliport twice. Both times carrying her dog."
"Are you serious?" I ask. He says he is.

I would be proud to feed the Second of the One Two Eight. Even if they are from WI.
We've had a bunch of folks that claim to be cheeseheads. Some even know Bart's real name.

Well, you'd have to get familiar with cheese curds in a hurry.;^)
Brett's childhood home was destroyed in the hurricane; don't know whether you've heard that. His mom lives way down there in Toby-land.

You know, I saw that video of him walking the woman to the helicopter. She wouldn't look at him or smile. I thought she looked as if she wanted to smack him. He was waving and smiling and she was just sitting there. I remember thinking at the time that it looked..............weird.

I cannot venture a guess as to why the USS Bataan was not used or why Tulane vs. Xavier students were evacuated but as to the media being there within 24 hours....they were there before the storm hit..AND they didn't need the permission of the mayor of NO or the govenor to come in.

You're right, it is just like Jerry Rivers.
Nevertheless, he is imitating a reporter.
He needs to be fired.
