"Oh ok. Thanks for letting us know. Maybe next time you and Brosnan can both go rowboating when the boat sinks."

They better go home and wash the e-coli out of their panties.

I wasn't trying anything at all. I was only noting that the information presented in the article is not sufficient to justify the headline. I still maintain that the British bus driver they quoted at the end was most likely talking about local cops, not federal officials.

LOL, does Sean Penn think he's Bono now, a great philanthroper flying at no cost too great to wherever there is human suffering, naturally caused by the 'evil' America and trying to 'expose' it for the good of all and act as ambassador, always doing what he can to portray America in a bad light.

Uh, Sean, Bono called, he wants his 'job' back!

Would that Penn flew in (wasn't he just in Iraq 'helping' there?) and did as Peyton Manning and Harry Connick and countless others and did some real help, housed folks in need, helped get aid to those in need and rescue people. He's a poser, a pretender, a wannabe, instead of doing things that offer real help, he's grandstanding for Sean first and for political rhetoric, always leftie, second.

"We were pulling drowning people out of the water, it's the ultimate distress and human suffering ... dead bodies," he told GMTV."

Drowning? The only one drowning was You and your own publicist.

What an damned liar

Did y'all not see this gem at the end of the article?? It's outrageous!

"At one point, there were a load of girls on the roof of the hotel saying 'Can you help us?' and the policemen said 'Show us what you've got' and made signs for them to lift their T-shirts. When the girls refused, they said 'Fine' and motored off down the road in their boat."

So essentially, tourists stranded were asked to "show us our tits" in exchange for rescue? WTF?

Yeah, I saw it. See #42. Turns out from other posters that I was most likely wrong about Penn (I was ignorant of his politics), but the other incident you mention I would bet is the work of local public servants.

I guess Sean Penn didn't get the memo that the Governor of Louisiana remained in charge...

true it is one of the prices. But wouldnt it be better if these loudmouths did some early screaming in the name of aid to those who need it? Surely if Penn could get to NOLA he could have gotten there with a truckload of supplies.

---He told the Liverpool Daily Post: "I couldn't describe how bad the authorities were. Just little things like taking photographs of us, as we are standing on the roof waving for help, for their own little snapshot albums.---

That was just Whorealdo. He does that to everyone.
