Sean Penn, in his ridiculous interview with Soledad "it's all Bush's fault" Obrien, claimed that there were only "one sixth" of the relief workers and troops needed to "do the job" in New Orleans.
I had NO IDEA Sean Penn was a disaster relief expert!
Let's see... who should I believe? Sean Penn, or General "I-feel-like-bitch-slapping-a-reporter" Honorae (the commander of federal forces in New Orleans)? I think I'll go with Gen Honorae.
Shortly after making these ridiculous comments, Sean Penn tried to get into a small boat with his "entourage" (camera's in tow, of course) in order to "rescue the people of New Orleans". Penn forgot, however, that the plug at the bottom of the boat was missing, and the boat soon began to sink.
What a great metaphor: The mainstream media's efforts to "pin the blame on President Bush" are SINKING as things get better.
did ya see where the boat he was in sprung a leak and he was bailing out water with a red plastic cup?
sYAWNNNN Penn is a loser and a grandstander. He should call Geraldo and team up.
Sean Penn must be getting tutored by Al Gore..
Oh thanks for that photo. I just commented on that but couldn't find the picture. Ha,ha.ha. The worm always turns but sometimes it's funnier than others.
Is he looking to run for office? Sure seems like it. Oh, I forgot...liberal celebrities never actually try to do anything, they just like running their mouths off. And then, when someone like Schwartzenegger actually walks his talk, they make fun of him.
Penn reported to the SF Chronicle about his trip to Iraq, 2004. He'd been there before, in 2002.

You're so right all these jacka$$es think they're in a movie. And they have no practical, real experience... they've been living in fantasy worlds for so long it ain't even funny. Even Sean, who is probably more manly than the average Hollywood metrosexual, hasn't earned his manhood. They never really did anything to earn their stripes. In a crisis situation they are about as useful as Butterfly McQueen.
These guys are really dressed for a rescue. Jeans and sneakers will work really well in the flood waters. I would love to see the USCG pull him over for a safety inspection.
Besides forgetting to plug the boat, the funniest part of the pic is the little cup he's using to bail the boat!
Oh Dougie!!! You've lost all credibility now!!!
Check out the picture at #50. LOL !
Douglas Brinkley, Sean Penn's historian gets a seat in the boat, along with Sean's photographer. I smell another boat book!
Another boat book. LOLOL.
I'll bet you're right. Although they'll certainly leave out the part where a bystander yelled "you have so many people in that boat, how can you rescue anyone" (or words to that effect.
Penn even had his personal photographer along. Jerk.
What is that apron that Spicoli is wearing? Was he afraid of getting "poor people funk" on him or was he going to a dress rehearsal for "We're No Angels II"?
has no one noticed the bullet proof vest??
"What is that apron that Spicoli is wearing? Was he afraid of getting "poor people funk" on him or was he going to a dress rehearsal for "We're No Angels II"?"
Why, he heard about people getting shot. Probably didn't want the bad guys coming after him. lol
Oh my GOD! Sean Penn actually is wearing a BULLET PROOF VEST! What an egocentric WHACK-JOB! I guess he was trying to show how "out-of-control" New Orleans was and how "brave" he was by "going into the combat zone."
Actually, it's probably good for him cus maybe one of those stressed-out New Orleans police officers might have been tempted to take a shot at him!
OMG! I caught a look at Sean bailing the boat with a plastic cup while surfing the tv!
But I didn't see 'himself' on the boat! Do we really need another Brinkley "historical" book on this!!!?
Yes, showing up with the primary purpose of creating a photo-op is indeed pathetic.
Did Sean have his personal photographer and Brinkley in tow in Iran last week?
