Never had a revolver jam. All four semi's I own have jammed at one time or another. Not the chance I am willing to take. Biggest POS I own is a 40 SW semi. Jams every fifth shot like clockwork. SW cannot figure it out. I can't figure it out. My wife has the 357 in her night stand, I have a 44 in mine and the Mossberg 500 is in the umbrella stand(best place for it). I guess we should all use what we feel comfortable with.

I just figured it out for you: "SW" :)
I used to own a M59. Ugh.
A good 1911 pattern .45 will be very reliable with reasonable maintenance (clean it every so often!)
I have a Canadian .45 that has jammed ONCE, which was when I'd put a you-know-whatload of ammo through it without cleaning and lubing it.
A Beretta/Taurus 92/99 pattern 9mm will be even more reliable, due to the open slide design. I doubt you could mke one of those suckers jam if you tried. I am amazed at how "AK-like" mine is. (and I have NEVER had an AK jam, period.)
