Could you elaborate on that? I have heard that the Red Cross and United Way are left-wing, but I'd like to know why people say this? I have withheld my donation for now, and it will most likely go to the Salvation Army, but I'd still like to know a bit more about the negatives of these organizations. Thanks.

I was a dept chair volunteer at the hospital where I was working. I organized with others to get my coworkers to get with the payroll deduction way of giving. The suits in the United Way that came by to hype us about all the good things they did, would turn thier noses up at the Boy Scouts being exclusionary and homophobic. In the next breath they'd tell of the virtues of getting illegals into the health care system in Socal.At no cost to the illegals!!! Plus their general attitude towards religion and some of the other things I value. This all happened about 15 yrs ago, since then I've had zero to do with them.
