"Shepard Smith just said that he hasn't seen a single red cross truck since day one."
I noticed Bush made the point of mentioning both the Red Cross and Salvation Army.
Said "Salvation Army" first.
"Shepard Smith just said that he hasn't seen a single red cross truck since day one."
I've seen the REd Cross several times on various media.
Each time they had set up curbside donation stops.
They're efficient in making money.
With 9/11 they were foolish enough to publicly state how they would spend the money - on their own infrastructure.
Doubt they will this time.
"Shepard Smith just said that he hasn't seen a single red cross truck since day one."
Red Cross is a private organization, so I'm sure it's Bush's fault somehow.
BTW: Shep & Geraldo seem to be auditioning and fighting over which one is going to win the TV news award this year.
They weren't allowed to enter the city per the instructions of city officials. So they set up outside as close as they could get. Same thing with Salvation Army. They have 200 people stranded in one of their centers and tried to send in a bus to rescue them; they were turned back by the city. The city has been its own worst enemy.
