Will we see the likes of Bono, Geldorf, Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie and the rest coordinating their efforts to aid AMERICAN victims? My goodness, I hope not! I think we have more dignity than that!

Russia has offered to help.
We need to keep in mind that most of the other countries in the world do not have the wherewithal to assist.
One of the things that makes the United States the Greatest Country on the planet is that we are able to help other countries, and do so without expecting a payback.
What type of help could some of the other countries give us that would be useful in a time like this?

Where they can help, they ought to be now. That is in sending teams that have experience after typhoons in rescuing and finding people in flooded towns.
This sort of aid should already be here if it were to have come.
