Did the company have other nursing homes? You might want to call some of them because that is where most evacuate to.

A woman who lives in Slidell and is now staying in Albany NY with family (she barely beat the storm out) indicated "Slidell is gone - just gone"

This was on out local news tonight.

This is who owns them. There is another Guest house in Shrevport. Someone there should know if they evacuated. Praying for you and your family.

I have not been to Slidell for about 5-6 years, since our best friends divorced and moved away. I recall that most of the semi-modern houses were on 10' steel stilts because of the contant flooding from Lake P. How high has the water gotten? I recall more than a few huge floods that caused only minor damage.

Try getting in touch with the Red Cross. My daughter's best friend's mother got a midnight call last night to tell her that she and her family were safe in a Red Cross shelter.

Prayers that you search is successful. I am also looking for family from the Slidell area.

Try calling 225-925-6626. I heard on the radio today that this number is the missing persons help line and its for the whole greater New Orleans area. I heard they will take down your information and who you are looking for - they're trying to help family and friends find each other.

I tried calling it a long time today (was always busy) because I still haven't heard from my mom and sister. They're from Metairie.

Will be praying for you and your grandmother.
