I read yesterday that Iran sent its condolences, for what that's worth.

Don't hold your breath....
We may get some token assistance from a few Nations, but it'll be very little, very late.

Not one cent in aid to our stricken population has been forthcoming from other nations but the greedy bastards in the gawdamn UN had the nerve to criticize the USA when out billions in tsunami relief wasn't "generous" enough.
We are losing a major city, New Orleans. Not one meal, bottle of water, or anything has showed up from any foreign land. How disgusting is the populations of the earth!

What are you saying? There are not Ugandan, Turkish, Indonesian, Afgan or Chinese ships full of food, fresh water and first aid supplies steaming to the gulf as we speak?

I am waiting for the UN to demand that we give them more moeny so they can give it back to us. We are such 'cheap bastards' for not letting them get their cut.

I did read in one of the many articles this morning (sorry I wouldn't know where to find it for link), that Russia has offered help.

Thankfully, we don't NEED anyone's help. We've got the resources here in the US. Once things settle down, we will be needing a lot of wood to rebuild. (Canada?)
