Why is it that everyone thinks they are some ancient famous guy in a previous life, why didn't he think he was just Bob, a Ugandan fisherman? Heck, with as many people being born now and the earths population there has to be a lot of "first timers" doesn't there?
Your post about past lives is right on. As a Christian I don't subscribe to reincarnation but if one did, the logic you state is so obvious.... there are billions more people now so how could everyone be a ruler, conqueror, famous inventor? Like you said, what about Bob the Ugandan fisherman or Ug the the caveman who didn't discover fire.
I was Bob the Ugandan fishermen in my past life... It was worse then this life..... I was eaten by a carnivorous sparrow.
LOL! Reminds me of the movie "Defending Your Life", where you could go into the Past Lives Pavilion.
Meryl Streep is watching some heroic guy on a white horse, and Albert Brooks is watching some terrified guy in a loincloth running from a lion.
Brooks: Who are you?
Streep: Prince Valiant!
Streep: Who are you?
Brooks: Lunch...
Actually, no. According to the materials on OTIII each of us has thousands of semiconscious "body thetans" stuck to us. They are semiconscious because of a very traumatic event 65 million years ago, as they wake up, each becomes able to run its' own body, (but is still insane).
So that's a thousand or so each famous person carried, giving you a thousands entities that can legitimately claim to have been Alexander the Great, plus all the ones they've shared the pictures of being Alexander the Great with. Given a choice between remembering being Alexander the great, and remembering being Alexander the Great's Chief Eunuch...
Why couldn't he be Bob the farmer or the sheep shearer or the servant who empties the chamber pots or maybe one of the eunuchs guarding the harem?
Heck, with as many people being born now and the earths population there has to be a lot of "first timers" doesn't there?
Good question. Maybe they stagger their returns? Or clone themselves? Maybe that's why L.Ron wrote his book now, because of so many first-timers. But wouldn't they want to avoid those not part of their original group? No wonder they need so many 'assists', to cleanse!
If you spent most of your previous life lookin' at the north end of a south-bound mule, maybe there wouldn't be any point in rememberin'?
