I thought the Broncos wasted a pick when they took him where they did.

"The kid called me and let me know they're going to let him go," Feldman said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press.... The pending release marks a disappointing start to the NFL career of the troubled former Ohio State running back, who missed two years of football after leading the Buckeyes to the national title in 2002.
More like disappointing end.

If he had won his court case a year earlier his career would have ended sooner.
To: mainepatsfan
It's definitely sad when your own agent calls you "the kid".

He then announced that he was jumping in his car and driving to New Orleans for a tryout with the Saints..

He clearly undrstands his client's maturity level.
To: ken5050
LOL!
He'll have to wait his turn to get into the SuperDome like everyone else is today.

So much for the theory that anyone can be a running back for the Broncos.

This Buckeye won't gloat. But he gets what he deserves.

I guess now he can go back and get his degree.
To: mainepatsfan
He's an idiot. If he had stayed at Ohio State and managed to win a Heisman, he could've been a first-round pick and made truckloads. Instead, he played 7 games in his freshman year and thought he was NFL-ready. He got bad advice from everyone around him, including Jim Brown.

Watched the Bronco/Colts game on TV last evening. They showed Claret on the sideline, in uniform, but not playing. The comment made was that Claret was a disappointment to the Bronco staff, Coach Shanahan had talked to him, one on one, several times about his work ethic. Apparently Claret wasn't cutting it and really wasn't trying that hard. Claret, if he makes it at all in the NFL, needs to play in the European football league and maybe spend a season or two (on this side of the Atlantic) on some NFL practice squad.

At this point he'll be lucky if another team gives him a look.
There wasn't too much defense being played in that game last night.

Wow! His stock has taken a nosedive. From scoring the winning TD to win the national championship as a freshman to basically nothing.
