and thank Him for this day we have shared.
Smiles entwined with soft words so right,
and I showed you how much I have cared.

Warmth of a summer sun upon my skin,
and the kiss of a breeze like a caress.
I am so alive to the world about me again,
and that is a gift to share I do confess.

What He bound we keep in His Light and Grace,
and treasure each day with loving heart again.
and somewhere in time we will see His face,
and know we have come home, far from mortal pain.

Until that day we’re paired in His sight,
sharing all that comes our common way.
Children of a greater love and might,
sheltered in His love until that coming day.
