Let's hope so.
If a hurricane's coming my way, I ain't waiting for some politician to tell me to get out.
Nah, anybody in LA with a TV has known for a while about this storm. They can't really blame it on Blanc-mind if they didn't know about it.
I'm glad the doc was able to do the scope. That 5 inch cut through half the abdominal muscles did sound fun. I had bilateral hernis repair in 1991. The limited amount of tissue cut there was bad enough.
I assume pretty well everyone knows about it...I just wonder if some are waiting for the official word before actually evacuating.
If it were me, I'da been gone a long time ago...but...
93 degrees is 'vey' warm. I really didn't think it got that warm.
Haven't seen one of them, that would be handy, especially for the limited production or 'older' recordings. I actually plan on getting a few dvds of some of our favorite movies, the tapes are getting a bit worn.
Nite folks. I'm gonna go veg on the couch.
Me too. The hurricane will still be there tomorrow morning.
G'night!
g'nite Corin.
True enough, but it will be closer.
G'nite
Most of my family lives in the Houston area.
They're not outta the woods yet, but at least they're above sea level. A foot or two.
I used to teach Shurley. I do not recommend it for only one or two students. For a classroom, it's great. It's fun, engaging, on topic and age appropriate, and it covers all the learning styles.
I am using a program (I just got home form a seminar on it) called Spell to Write and Read. While it is not specifically a creative writing/grammar program, there is a program that meshes very well with this at about the third grade and up called IEW (Institute for Excellence in Writing). Writing Strands is also good for middle school ages.
Clare likes Institute for Excellence in Writing. TRISMS has incorporated it into their curriculum It would be great for Erin to start this at the beginning of her middle school years. The whole IEW program, lessons and Seminar CDs costs about $150, but it would last her all the way through high school.
The last couple of years have seen really warm temps in the Gulf. It's usually about 86-90 degrees this time of year.
A pretty good little turntable that can be plugged into a stereo or into your computer sound card (for digitizing your records) runs under $100. Try Radio Shack or Circuit City...I got mine at CC.
That is wonderful 2J!
Been Thinking about getting one of those for my Mom.
