I'm pretty skittish about new styles, so I always have them cut it into long layers and trim the ends.
Some of the worst haircuts I've ever gotten have been at nice salons.
Supercuts has never done me wrong.
Go figure.

Well if I go, it'll be Supercuts. Dunno.... hair takes so long to grow, if I screw it up... but this is getting pretty ridiculous.

Worse comes to worse, you can always go in for a trim until you decide what kind of cut you ~really~ want.

Yeah, I haven't got a trim in ages. I do my bangs myself and the rest I let grow out.
The concept I've got works, I think; it's just a matter of deciding what angle for the front would actually look good; sloping down or up, or mostly curving in, or something else...

That's the tricky part.
You don't want to end up looking like Farrah Fawcett on a bad day! :-D

Almost, but not quite, entirely unlike that. Thanks.
Not short in the front, just shorter. There's a difference.

ecurbh's at work, so there's no one here to jump me, unless I wanted to go flag down a volunteer from the store next door, and I'm not in the mood for that. Wha wha WHAT?!?

LOL, just got this educational email from Beach Dad...
WORDS WOMEN USE
FINE
this is the word women use to end an argument when they are
right and you need to shut up.
FIVE MINUTES
If she is getting dressed, this is half an hour. Five minutes
is only five minutes if you have just been given 5 more
minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
NOTHING
This is the calm before the storm. This means "something," and
you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with
'Nothing' usually end in "Fine"
GO AHEAD
This is a dare, not permission. Don't do it.
LOUD SIGH
This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement
often misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you
are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing
here and arguing with you over "Nothing"
THAT'S OKAY
This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can
make to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think
long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for
your mistake.
THANKS
A woman is thanking you. Do not question it or faint. Just say
you're welcome.
Oh, and before we forget ...
"Whatever"
...it's a woman's way of saying *!#@
