They'd be lucky to have you as a supervisor, Rosie.
You're not a powertripper.
Isn't the Element a runner-up for "second ugliest car ever"? First place still being the Aztek, of course.
Or am I thinking of something else?
I'm gonna look at the new 4Runners. Having owned and loved a Toyota 4x4 pickup in the past... I gotta look at 'em. I'm concerned that they're getting too pricey. But I'm definitely going to look.
It's the runner up for the so-ugly-it's-really-kewl prize. Possibly first place.
Seriesly, I worked with someone who had one and got to ride in it a few times. Yeah, they're not pretty (we called it her school bus...the short bus, at that...), but they're VERY well thought out. Love the rubber matting (you can hose the inside out if you've had muddy stuff in it), and there are inputs on the dashboard for portable music players and such like. And they're comfortable.
LOL!!
I have a special name for the Honda Element and the Toyota Scion.
Toasters on Wheels.
I've heard that they're really fun, but I can't get past the way they look.
I couldn't find one with a canoe on top, but I found this...
Yeah, they are getting expensive. And so are their trucks, albeit not as much.
I loved my Tacoma, but you'd definitely need a Tundra. One with 4-doors.
Say... that's even better than a canoe... :-)
It's interesting but the new H3 Hummer is pretty much in the range that I'm looking for. I figure I'll check it out.
I admit, I still think they're kinda kewl...but way too low to the ground for practical use most places.
I rented a PT Cruiser, and as cute as I think they are, they sacrificed to much function for form. Visibility in them is awful, the mirrors and gauges are too small. But otherwise they're soooooo cute standing out in a sea of look-a-like sedans.
Oh. Well... she'd probly make too much noise up there thrashing around strapped to the rack, anyway.
The H3 is in about the same price range as a 4runner.
I've only ridden in one. I was surprised at how roomy they are inside...but it did feel like a boat. Hard to see out.
....Toasters....
Yeah....and the wind resistance would cut down on your gas milage.
A co-worker and I rented one when we went for training in Georgia and you are exactly right.
Visibility is awful, but it was a fun and roomy ride.
Feeling traumatized, knowing there are Toasters on Wheels wandering about?
