We just got back from the corn maze adventure with the daughter of our friends.
This year it was shaped like Lewis and Clark:

Jesse seemed to know where she was going so we mostly just followed.

And put put golf too! :~D

Evening, very cool looking maze (or is it maize?). Homer and Gidget look like they are having fun. Sounds like a great time. Thanks for posting the picture of the maize maze. Lewis & Clark.

I'm having some frozen brussels sprouts that I warmed up in the new microwave.
Nice!
The jedis are at church...should be home any minute, though.
I signed up for my disaster relief training in church this morning...I had rented a car to go but found out that the bus is taking a van so I don't have to have the rental now. That's good.
I'll finally be a part of
this! I've been wanting to for years but because of Steve being in school, it's been too difficult...it just wasn't time.

Yay! Sounds great!
Ungh, I seriesly hurt. Took a nasty fall in a parking lot yesterday. Didn't hurt too much at the time but my ribs feel all bruised today - I landed on my hands and knees and I guess I shook something up. I feel pretty lousy and just couldn't face sitting in church tonight.
Might have to haul my computer off to my room and try working in bed.

Hehehehe...just caught a neighbor cat licking steak drippings off the grill top.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Nope! Just tripped over my own feet. When at the con yesterday, my group walked down to the local Wendy's for lunch and on the way back I fell in the parking lot. I used to do that a lot. Not so much now. I haven't fallen on pavement in a while and in retrospect, stopping my fall the way I did was a mistake.
I also got elbowed in the eye, stepped on three times, and shoved more than I can count, I suspect I look like a domestic violence victim.

I did! It was awesome! I just sort of got beat up, is all.
And mentally assaulted by some really over-the-top con participants but I won't go into that. Except to say that I don't think costumes that are made by gluing stuff to your underwear, no matter how accurate they are, are really appropriate.

That's why cosplay makes me nervous.
Gravity just cannot be defied.

Yup, in the biiiig "town" too. Actually it turned out to sort of be in Aurora... the only thing I know about Aurora is that people have been shot at the mall there. But it was in the good section.
Yup. Cosplay can be very scary. At least this year the big thing was shinigami, and that's pretty much full body costumage - nice loose martial arty clothes. But there were too many scary outfits. Too many.

Not this year, not that I saw. There was one bad male cross-dressing cosplayer but other than that I didn't see any particularly hideous sights from guys. Mostly just girls.

Speaking of cons, Howard Taylor is supposed to be here in Austin for LinuCon 2.0 at the end of the month, but I don't know if we're going to be able to go to it. I really would like to....
