I'm making a sort of beanless chili right now. But tortilla soup? Mmmm...
I'm moving all the houseplants that have spent the summer on the portch into the house, which, like the tipping first domino, means our entire desk system needed to be moved about a foot, which will lead to the whole living room being rearranged, and then probably the whole house.
I'm reorganizing my room, which will probably lead to sorting through the junk in my desk, which could lead to...heaven knows what.
I'm also realizing I don't have any pictures or posters or anything at all up on the walls in my room. *gasp* Which may warrant an emergency run to a hardware store (after six months of it not being an issue). Dunno where the nearest hardware store is, though. There's a Home Depot not too far away, I think...but it seems rather silly to go to Home Depot just to get a few nails or tacks.
Although I've complained about 'em a lot in the past, it makes me miss the hardware store back home, where I could walk in, instantly be accosted by about five guys who'd treat me like and idiot, BUT get me whatever items I asked for. Made life easier, even if it was embarrassing and irritating at times.
Heh...cleaning up here too. Managed to get most of the cat fur out of the computer case. I need to hang the pictures that were boxed up when I moved from Chapel Hill....gee I hope none of the glass broke.
Got the junk mail pile down to one spot instead of spread all over the table.
TheNewHouse definitly isn't "mother-clean." Good thing I don't have allergies.
My cats don't get tooooo much fur in the computer case.
The guitar case is another story.
I have pictures from theoldhouse, too. Since here I don't have as much space, some of 'em will stay packed, but I'd like to at least put some up!
I'm thinking it's likely Jen has nails somewhere, but I'm not sure I'm patient enough to wait. ;-) Wonder if the grocery would have basic small brads in the aisle with lightbulbs and such?
They might. They usually have a small hardware section.
Worth checking, I guess. I've been surprised a couple of times at how much our usual grocery carries. May run out in a bit.
Just had a naybor stop by to try to get me to buy magazines. Guess they're now doing magazine drives in college, too. Yay.
I told him I was too broke. At least "adult" students understand that concept.
Vey kewl and congrats! They're all kinds of yucky looking, huh?
Yucky looking, yes. At the same time you're saying "Die, hornworm, die!"
EeeK! I need to wash windows!
Heh...I got a coffee catalog in the mail today. So...it's five o'clock in the afternoon, not even dinner time, and certainly far beyond morning...and I'm brewing coffee.
I guess there are no laws where coffee is concerned, but...
Evenin'.....zzzzzzz....'scuse me...drifted off fer a minute.
Got the yutes to their retreat by breakfast time. Got back at noon-ish and went over to b-i-l's. Worked on buffing out the scratches in thetruck.
Went by the Dollar Store to get new reading glases. Got the truck washed. Made the "As God is my witness" trip to Sam's Club.
I'm pooped.
Made the "As God is my witness" trip to Sam's Club.
LOL!
Rearranged half the living room to make room for the plants.
Burned all kinds of paper, files and frap that's been stacked in a corner for two years.
Found the Christmas lights and thinking about putting them up. :~D
Mmmmmm......coffee....
I just put a pizza in the oven.
Mmmmm...pizza.
I get pizza tomorrow - the church young adults group is having an end of summer kinda party.
I've not exactly been diet-obedient today, either. Oh well. I guess as long as it isn't a daily deal.
It's got a half-whole wheat crust, lowfat mozzarella, tomatoes, veggies, and a little bit of dried beef.
Sounds healthy enough to me!
Sam's Club had a decent pre-lit artificial tree for $198.00.
But it was 9 ft. tall. I'd have to fall through anuther ceilin'...
