It's not worry so much as awareness of my situation. I try very hard to always pay attention to that.
The only place I get nervous is the parking lot at school when I'm up there for an event after dark. It's just sort of creepy somehow.

Just as I typed that, a baby salamander climbed up the wall right next to me.
Scared me to death! I thought it was a cockroach!

It appears so.
One of those transparent-looking pinkish ones. It's small, maybe about 2 inches from tip to tail - but it made me jump outta my seat. LOL!
Prolly scared the little fella WAY more than he scared me.

The only reason I can live with the salamander is because I'm certain he'll eat the cockroaches that sneak in.

Evening - those are amazing pictures, these aerials only give us a glimpse of what happened, so thankful that all your family made it out okay.
I was looking at some aerials on a USGS site, showing which barrier islands are still there and which aren't. Simply amazing.

Can you 'splain it to Jen?
Jen, short version.
It's a scene from a movie with Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding, Jr. Cruise is a sports agent. Catch phrase in the movie is "Show me the money!" which Gooding has Cruise scream out while he's on the phone.
I cut and pasted Mayor Nagin's face on Cuba Gooding's body.
It's prolly far less funny with the explanation.
