I agree, it is a great show. My only complaint is that the women are still with the unit (albeit as a driver and mechanic!)...is that common? It seemed very pro-troops, and showed how the news is managed and manipulated. I felt awful for Smoke. I really like the sarge and the theme song. Getting a glimpse of the amputee's recovery efforts, the families at home....it's quite educational. Not that I believe every situation or story line, it's educational in that it makes me think of the war and the soldiers in a more 3-dimensional way. It's still hard to watch, but worth it!

My only complaint is that the women are still with the unit (albeit as a driver and mechanic!)...is that common?I don't know about women traveling with a combat unit, but I do know women are active in all the mechanisms necessary to keep the troops supplied. My niece was in Kuwait until February and went on numerous convoys into Iraq.
