the anti Pres Bush jabs constantly left me irritated.. but I LOVED the show.. nice that the character that Clair fell in love with was a Republican, AND a nice guy..

I emailed HBO--- the final show was simply one of the best things I've ever seen on television...

I can't wait for Rome.

The previews for Rome aren't grabbing me. I went thru a phase where I read all about Rome and even checked out the old PBS series on Claudius. I went just nuts over Rome and was going around the house muttering about various and sundry Romans. So I am excited but damn, those previews are bad.

I am waiting for the end of Sopranoes, the next season of Deadwood and the Wire. I live for those programs. They dwarf regular tv. If George Soros produced them I would watch.

Is that ending, the car ride, sticking to you like it is to me. I think about it and tear up. It was the best scene I think I have ever seen on television. It was just brilliant. It caught something about life in a way that grabbed me.

They never bothered me. I figured the rest of the character's life was screwed nine ways to sunday, so why wouldn't they be hard-core liberals? I truly believe in Ronald Reagan's dicta that liberals know so much that isn't so...
