To: the invisib1e hand

You used to work there?My gfriend did too(early 80's).I was a sunday regular bk in the 80's.Remember Eddie Kirkland?My first intro to the blues.Hooked ever since.Chris Duarte(aka The Chris Duarte Group),"Texas Sugar/Strat Magic".Great guitarist,mix of blues,rock,w a little jazz thrown in.Kind of a SRV sound at times.I've heard of Double Threat,but haven't them.Correction,saw DTrucks at Frankies Patio in Ybor.

I must know your girlfriend. Too funny. Tampa had a pretty good music scene in the '80s and '90s. My brother helped Tom, Vince and Andy get started on that corner. It originally had a fire pit, a tiny stage, and an outdoor bar/counter and that was it. I remember eddie kirkland. i didn't like the way he leered at the girls there. Oddly, I really wasn't as into the blues then as I came to be. I'm sure I've seen Chris Duarte there but just can't recall specifically when.

I was a bit more into the Richard Gilewitz/John Fahey Jorma Kaukonen thing as I was a student of Classical guitar at the time.

I was also not one of the many deadheads that worked there. The Jorma show at the Friday Morning Musicale in Hyde Park was pretty good, though. God, those were the days.
