Is there a training they go through?

Well, I seem to recall hearing somewhere that they first start out on the sidebar before being upgraded to full admin mods.
There is also the special case moderator the Religion Mod.
I know very little about that one though.

I know one mod, or know of him at least back during the 'tub girl' assault. Mods are great and have immense patience. You're asking questions I've wondered sometimes.
