This was posted on another thread, and I think it needs to be posted where it will be seen by, and responded to by more prayer warriors!! Please keep this issue raised in prayer!! Today my mom was admitted to the hospital - they have found a "large mass" (doctor's exact words) in her lungs so they are going to do a broncoscopy tomorrow (Aug 18) I believe. In the meantime, she has been the caretaker for my dad who had a stroke 4 years ago, leaving him brain damaged and he has a multitude of health problems (too numerous to name). I have so many decisions to make in the upcoming days and have to find a place for him right now so he is safe and cared for. He is very belligerent to me. I am all on my own in this since I have no help from siblings (one is out of town and one just won't help or contribute any physical or any support at all). 36 posted on 08/17/2005 8:08:56 PM MDT by Paved Paradise

You really have some crossses to carry,I will pray for your mom,dad and you. Plesse keep us informed.
Prayers up.
God, Abba Father, You love us all so much, but You do not shield us from hardship. Rather, You give us opportunities to lean on You and to trust in Your love for us, Your children. Father, I pray that You pour out Your Holy Love and Grace on this family and use this hard situation to bless them with Your glorification. Help them to fully grasp the concept of looking forward because You have been known to say, "Do not be afraid, I will be your rearguard."
Father, I ask, that if it be within Your Divine Will and Holy Plan, that you give healing to the parents and comfort and strength to Paved Paridise in this tough time.
In the name of Your Holy Son Jesus, who sacrificed Himself for our sins that we might have Eternal Life with You; Amen.
Prayers for you and your parents.
The Lord be with them.
Prayers sent.
My prayers are with this family in this difficult time.
This is a tough situation, but trust in the Lord; you will get through this with His help. My prayers for you and your parents.
Prayers
Prayers on they way.
While what we think may be the right things to do - only You hold the True answers.
Please guide our FReeper loved one to the path You set forth, and lift this family up into Your loving arms. Attack the illness put before this loving mother, and give her peace. Calm the father, so that things will be as peaceful as possible.
Paradise, you are surrounded by more power than you will ever know. Follow God, pull out your bible. Go to the new testament and start reading. It doesn't matter where - The Holy Spirit will guide you.
Jesus says, "Ask anything in My name and I shall do it, for it will Bring Glory to the Father."
"You are trusting God, now trust in Me."
Allow Jesus to take you in his arms, cling to the scripture He so lovingly left for us to follow, and things will work out according to His plan. Have unwavering Faith in that.
I understand your situation - as I am an only child, and I have had to make decisions regarding my grand-parents when my parents were not around. My parents live so far that I have not seen them in almost two years. I am alone - other than my children, and my Heavenly Father who NEVER leaves me.
You are strong. You can do this.
Love in Christ, JK

My mom has a 5 cm tumor on her lung and we'll have biopsy results later today. It's in God's hands and always was. I'll update you when I know something definitive. Thanks again.
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 5:10-11)
God's peace be with you.
And thanks to you, Ms. T, for the ping and all of your work.
Continuing prayers.
Prayers up.
Carolyn
Thanks for the update on Paved Paradise, will continue to pray for her.
From Paved Paradise | 08/23/2005 9:50:29 AM MDT We received bad news yesterday. Confirmation of lung cancer for my 69 year old mom. Tomorrow we meet with the pulmonary critical care doc to hear his views on how to proceed... in the meantime, once we have this info, my mom has decided she wants to go to the Cleveland Clinic for treatment or surgery, if the tumor is operable. I will update you on the latest info.
I slept very little last night so need prayers also for strength so I can make the many decisions facing me as I help my parents. Since my father is incapacitated mentally and physically, my mom will be relying on me.
Thanks again.
