Not even an acre of land. Now, this Chula Vista, Ca., south of San Diego, Ca.
You could buy about four houses, where you live.
The family, that live next door (apartment),just bought two houses with 5 acres of land each in Kentucky. Paid in full. Live in one and rent the other.
Most of the new houses go for $600,000. I have even worked on houses that over a million. And they are track homes.
I just shake my head. I have lost my dream. Even the fixer-upper are out of my range.
By the way gas is $2.88 per gallon. More if the station is close to the freeway. I'm lucky, I can go to the Navy base and gas up.
I forgot, HELLO ATRW.

No Boutique Gas here. $1.22 last week when I filled the Tahoe. The cost of living is considerably less here. Wages are less, too.
Just finished reading the weekly newspapers from around the area which all come on Thursdays. The Help Wanted section had a few interesting things listed. Well drillers assistant. Limestone Quarry truck driver (no CDL required) lots of healthcare jobs.
Not much in the way of high dollar jobs here.
