- Chip Ganassi will make an announcement on Friday regarding sponsor activities and plans for 2006.
- Domino's will continue to be the Official Pizza of NASCAR
- Johnny Benson (driving the #23 Toyota truck for Bill Davis Racing) will do double duty at Michigan next weekend (the Smith Brothers #67 Dodge in Busch, the Michael Waltrip Racing #00 Chevy in Cup; the Trucks have the weekend off), and will drive the BDR #23 Cup car at Atlanta.
- Triple-headers at Watkins Glen - Jorge Goeters, Scott Pruett and Tony Stewart will run all 3 races at Watkins Glen (add the Grand American CompUSA 200 on Friday to their schedules). Double-dipping into Grand-Am are Kyle Petty, the brothers Labonte and Johnny Miller (who's actually double-dipping into Cup).
- The rumors of Mikey/NAPA to the #11 have resurfaced (as well as FedEx to the #18)
- According to sources, the lesser control Penske has over souvinier sales is part of the reason Kurt Busch bolted to Penske (Roush controls most of that as well as personal-services deals).

- RYR GM Eddie D'Hondt says that if they don't go with a 3rd full-time Cup team next year (decision point is the end of this month), they'll run more Busch races, including stand-alone events with a younger, development driver.
- Bill Elliot will drive the Evernham #6 Charlie Brown Christmas Dodge at Memphis October 22.
- Speaking of Evernham, he and Roush have apparently made a deal to swap the 6 and 9 numbers in Busch for next year, Kasey Kahne will be in the car most of the time, and Erin Crocker will either be in a partner's (unnamed and undecided) Dodge full-time or the other driver.
