and a customer came in who said she was going to pierce her own tongue. She never came in after that...hmmm... I knew a girl who had lots of piercings, all self-done. OTOH, she apparently knew how to do it, and had access to sterile surgical needles and other necessary supplies. People who try body piercings with regular sewing needles deserve what they get (negligent mother circumstance excepted).

I remember in the mid 60's, all we had was a needle to pierce our ears with. With ice cubes for numbing. We'd walk around looking like I don't know what with thread in our lobs with vaseline on it and turning the thread everynight.
Ahhhh, the good old days. ouch!

Yeah, I agree. If you know what you are doing then more power to ya, but those
other people are a whole other breed.
In college one of my idiot friends went to a guy to get a tattoo. The guy lived in a trailer and not even a nice trailer. It was in actuality an RV he had just parked there for a really long time. He didn't even have a real tattoo gun. It was made from a Bic pen.
