It's played like we fought Korea and VietNam.

The main goal is not to score a goal, but to prevent the other team from scoring.

Since pro teams so seldom score, their fans seldom get to release their emotions. They sit there and stew about all the dirty things the OTHER team engages in and finally explode into riots.

Soccer needs to tilt the field more toward the offense. Make the goal bigger, don't let the goalie use his hands or get rid of him all together!

Reforming "offsides" will help a bit here, as would getting the referee and the assistants to call more fouls, especially closer to the goal.
