Endurance? Yes. Skill? No way in heck. I played on a soccer team two years ago. I was litteraly the worst guy on the team. Over the course of seven games I played about 1 hour and scored two goals. I was tied with two of the best guys on the team for most goals scored. Soccer does not take much skill. Soccer takes more skill and endurance than the other sports.
Footballers don't need much skill.

baseball doesn't need too much skill.
Wrong. Anyone can kick a ball through a huge goal. Not many can hit a 85 MPH ball the size of your fist.

High school and middle school games are much more active with strategies, skill, and a good mix of passing and one-on-one.
Let's talk about football. First the Quarterback. You, like all the players on offense, have to memorize a playbook with several thousand plays. You have to be able to throw a ball perfectly, within an area of about 12 square inches, fourty yards down field with a 250 pound monster flying at you. Reciever- you have to know all the plays, knowing how many yards down field you have to run how fast, and then you have to be able to jump up, catch a ball, and then a split second later get slamed by a hugh guy who trying to knock you senseless so you drop the ball.
