Now, overtime silliness can be better described as the NHL's 4-on-4 followed by shootout nonsense.

That just disgusts me. I hate the shootout as it goes against hockey tradition. Hockey is the ultimate TEAM game and for it to be decided on penalty shots is ridiculous. Bettman's ruining the game. I'd rather see the same overtime format as the playoffs. Next goal wins, play till there's a winner. That's the NHL's biggest strength.

I understand the posession trading in NCAA as that doesn't take away the team or game itself from it. The NFL's sudden death oftentimes results in a coin toss winning the game.

Yes! I really wish the NFL would do something about its overtime rules.

For example, take out the field goal/safety option. First team to score a TD wins the game.
