Find me one team at or above the high school level without a curveball pitcher. Find me one hitter that has made it to the college ranks and can't hit one. It's an essential skill. A guy I went to high school with set records in baseball. He was compared to Derek Jeter. He was a two sport(football/baseball) player splitting time between college and the minors. In college he excelled in football, but in baseball, he couldn't make it out of the minors because of the curveball. He's now a backup QB in the NFL.

"...curveball..."
I batted .414 my senior year in high school, with 16 home runs.
First year in college I was 10 for 38.
Second year I was watching games from the stands and working for my tuition.
