Look at what he got for those three pitchers.....this team will contend for years because of those trades. After losing Giambi they still won over 100 games. He can field a team that wins.

Billy doesn't know catching though. He was on the record saying that if he had taken the Red Sox job, which he did for about 24 hours, his first task would have been to trade Jason Veritek. Ask around baseball and most pitchers will tell you that he makes that pitching staff a whole lot better. (Wakefield's knuckle ball not withstanding)
