Two weeks ago we discussed those items that we can't live without, that were worth every penny we paid for them.
Let's go in the opposite direction today. We all have items we have purchased, often with high hopes for it's usefulness, that we regretted purchasing shortly after the fact.
Regale us with your stories of duds, or warn us about things not to purchase.

My complete and utter apologies for their being no thread last week. I had my days so mixed up and confused that I absolutely completely and totally forgot to start one.

I'm not happy with the government my taxes are buying. ;)
But for me it's usually disappointing CDs or DVDs...some of which aren't even worth giving away.

Ouch. Early in our marriage, looking for a job, I was briefly suckered into becoming a dealer for a health-supplement product called Km. I learned a lot -- not the least of which being how gracious Valerie could be when I really screwed up.

Small sale tactical neutron bombs.
I could easily do without our breadmaker. OH, and the electric cooktop. I hate it. I want my gas stove back. Thankfully it's summer so I can use my outdoor kitchen.

Many yeras later, she made a purchase she really regretted, and said, "This is my Km." It took me a moment to connect what she was saying, and join her in a laugh.

Oh this is easy, a bread machine. I have grown up baking bread, and thought this might be easier, and much less messy. Nope, almost every loaf I made failed to rise (which never happened before) and if it did rise, it tasted terrible... oh well, for me, kneeding is therapudic, get out lots of anger and have a nicely risen loaf

Sounds like an Herbalife Problem to me!
Nothing worse then when you go into something THINKING its a money making opportunity, and then it become more trouble than it's worse. And you usually end up lighter in YOUR wallet for your efforts.
