Teach, I have a question - the def of souteneur says a "type of pimp".... I wasn't aware there were "types" -

Souteneur referred to one particular definition of pimp, the one I gave. Here are others from the same dictionary (Webster's 3 volume):

1. one who panders or procures, esp. a man who solicits for a prostitute or a house of prostitution and receives compensation therefor from the prostitute or the patron

2. a person who lends himself to some corrupting or corrupt activity: SCOUNDREL

3. Australian: sneak, informer

4. a small bundle of kindling wood: FAGOT (!)
