In imposing the death sentence, the judge said the brutality of the crime outweighed any of the defendant's possible mental problems. Great call. It should be the same in all murders. I totally feel people should get what they deserve - my question is, anyone that murders someone like this - are they not crazy?

Absolutely! I don't see where it makes a damned how crazy someone is. If they can't refrain from killing others we need to send them packing. Once the crime is committed the mental state of the criminal is irrelevant. It's kind of like someone saying, "the only reason the shark is attacking you is because it thinks you're a seal" while your guts are floating off. As if it matters why.
