Maybe they should have tried Match.com?

And people think that they have are tough time meeting people in the US! I am amused at the wording regarding the informant. The VNa states that she "denounced" the matchmaking service instead of "she informed police." Typical commie talk.

Now, complete this form in triplicate and have at least four character references file an affadavit on your behalf. Do not forget to attach a photo ID to the form. Also, schedule an interview with your district committee cardes...

Sorry, I meant "cadres" and not "cardes."

Maybe they should have tried Match.com? ROTFLOL! Maybe she should have tried your thread for singles. Just kidding, lol.
To: Victoria Delsoul
Well, I do have some ability to communicate in Vietnamese. Hmm, now to work on that fee schedule...

Knowing how things operate in the SRV, I'll wager that someone didn't receive their bribe or they didn't receive as much as they wanted. If you pay-off the right Canh Sat officer, Cong An officer, or Party official, you can do just about anything you want. Someone didn't get their cash OR someone in a position of authority was slighted.

You're probably right about it. That pretty much sums up the commie mentality.

Read books like Following Ho Chi Minh, The Inviting Call of Wandering Souls, or Two Hamlets in Nam Bo to get an idea of how the commies had greater problems with corruption than did the RVN. Also, China and the Vietnam Wars, 1950-1975 describes how communist cadres succumbed to corruption as early as 1950 by selling-off weapons and supplies from China.

It always amazes me when people mention religion as the cause of human grief and devastation. Communists have killed more people than anyone else.
Here is a good link. Murder by Communism. HOW MANY DID COMMUNIST REGIMES MURDER? LINK
To: Victoria Delsoul
Absolutely. A former ARVN officer wroteThe Inviting Call of Wandering Souls. He was not able to escape in 1975 and spent a few years in a "re-education" camp. The treatment that he describes is deplorable. Also, Following Ho Chi Minh describes, among other things, how people suffered and died in the DRV (North Viet Nam) during the horrible, Chinese-style agricultural "reform" of the 1950s.

I read some of the horrible stuff they did to people in order to subjugate them and break their spirits. Disgusting!

Yes, but the commies never made anyone stand naked with a pair of ladies undies on their heads.
Durbin's comments are the ravings of a drooling nit-wit. If I were a prisoner and my options were beatings, starvation, and electrocution on one hand and standing about with panties on my head on the other hand, I would choose the latter. Durbin needs to speak with people who underwent real torture and abuse.

Durbin's comments are the ravings of a drooling nit-wit. I concur with you. Durbin's mischaracterization is a great disservice to the military and our country. Put it simply, he's a jerk.

I agree with many Vietnamese in Viet Nam and abroad who believe that "The South Will Rise Again"...
The discontent with Hanoi is palpable in the South (especially in Saigon and the whole Mekong Delta). Saigon is very pro-American and is dragging the rest of the country into a market economy. Next step, remove the PAVN from positions of power in the government.

There's one thing for sure. Communism is a dying ideology. Too bad that its seeds are still floating in the heads of America Intelligentzia.
Need to finish homework for tomorrow.
Thanks for the chat. Night. See you tomorrow.
To: Victoria Delsoul
Good evening.
Homework? What subject(s)?
