Once I hit fourth grade or so in the 90's, they began taking off some of the classics on the Saturday morning cartoons and put on this anime bullcrap. It was a rough time! :)

Yes! Exactly! I'm guessing we're about the same age here. I blame Dragon Ball Z. It started there and spread.

I also remember when Bugs Bunny and friends got shortened. I remember being pissed about that one very clearly.

This whole trend caused problems for me on the playground. All my friends would talk about Dragon Ball Z and I would have no idea what was going on. I tried to watch it once, but I couldn't get through even one episode. And yet when I would say "Hassan Chop!" while using the paper cutter, people would look at me like I had lobsters crawling out of my ears.
