I thought the Germans were supposed to be so efficient, so why did it take them six months to figure this out?

I remember an old comedy skit -- Smothers Brothers? -- where a guy is in court and convicted of being a Obscene Phone Caller and uses his "one Phone Call" to make another obscene phone call.

He stole $20,000 from his company and got an eight-month suspended sentence? Boy, those German courts are tough. I guess the going rate is one month (suspended) for every $2500. That'll surely provide a disincentive for others who are contemplating cheating their employer.
