I'll bet Roush is regretting letting Jon Wood go now. He's a bit thin in the development department; Kleuver isn't exactly setting the Truck world on fire, and Craven won't be back in Cup.

There is so much switching and speculation going on lately, I feel like It's the NFL draft. But if I could have a pick, I would wish for Ward Burton. I would love to see him back on the track. He was such a down home man and I really loved watching and listening to his interviews.

There's a good possibility that the #97 will be available for 06 rather than 07.

Kurt also requested a release from his contract for 2006. Due to sponsor and team considerations no decision on that request will be made for an indefinite period. Roush Racing will have no further comment at this time.(Roush Racing PR)

That 97 car has big tires to fill. I doubt if it will be Waltrip.

My work sponsors a street stock car at the local track. This is the drivers first year. He's really not that good. His highest finish was 12th and he normally averages about 16th (when he finishes). Anyway, I'm working on a sponsorship package for him for next year. His last name is Smiley, and for a fee an individual can put their name and a smiley face sticker on his car. Next year I'll have a "Flutters www.FreeRepublic.com" on the car. :-) It's not exactly a 48, 17, or 8...but it's something.
