I am trying to find out what day of the week is trash day for most people. Please let me know what day your trash truck comes to your house.
Thanks

yeah, some people wash the bottles. I hide them in the bottom of the bag.

Some places in Texas do recycle but I lost interest when I learned they don't do anything with most of the recycled materials except stack them up.I have also heard people say after seperating the materials they have seen the garbage men dump them all together into the truck.

well, personally, I have to censor my recycling bin. If there are too many beer, wine and liquor bottles, I have to clean it out.

you could start a little business taking garbage to the dump for people.
My husband is due to retire and wants to get a riding mower for our yard and fire the yard man. Lately he has been watching the neighbors and thinks he can underbid the lawn men they have. I think he is going to cause trouble. I cannot believe he wants to be a yardman. He also wants to go to Colorado and drive the van in the ski resorts so he can ski all his days off.

SouthWall, you might be interested in knowing that private investigators covet the trash of their suspects. My husband has been known to bring the trash home and go through it in the garage. He did it once, and then I forbade him from bringing it anymore.
Once can learn alot of dirt on someone by going through their trash.

The last place I lived had separate trucks for the recycling.
Although, who knows what they do with it after that.
It just made me feel better to recycle things that could be used for some other purpose than filling up the landfill.

Oh my, I wish I had known. And he brings home garbage?

he's slowly getting into it. It's a hard career to crack. He loves the surveillance. Comes home with some very funny stories.
It's very dangerous work, though.

I believe this can be considered a lady-like pursuit, providing the lady is genteelly sipping from a bottle of bourbon. Otherwise, not so much.

Our recycling bins are on rollers and we pull them to the curb. And you can hear all those glass bottles rattling when we neighbors pull ours to the curb. It's pretty funny.
If my recycling bin is extremely full of liquor bottles, I'll pull it in front of my neighbor's curb.
