Comcast has come up with a plan for local fans of the increasingly popular Sci Fi Channel that only a stockholder could love.
In the name of what a spokeswoman for the cable operator calls "conformity," it's bucking Sci Fi next week from the basic tier where two-thirds of its local customers now find it to a more expensive digital service where the other third already gets it.

Yeah, not enough hot scenes with Tricia Helfer's No.6, like where she's going upstairs to the bedroom and sheds her clothes, and glances backwards to the hapless Dr. Baltar with a come-hither look. This season is not focusing on the right bang-bang stuff.
Sci Fi and Comedy network are commercial intense, but the Star Trek shows you are talking about mean a return of previously cut material. Years ago, when ST was first broadcast, most network tv had about 25 or more minutes of programming for each half hour, with 5 minutes or less of commercials. Now you are lucky to get 20 -22 minutes during prime time. On the non networks and during the day, it is even worse, with the commercial/programming ratio about 17/13, almost half commercials. To show a 50 minute ST episode with 10 or more minutes of commercials per half hour, Sci Fi used a 90 minute window. Some of these restored scenes hadn't been shown on TV since the series originally aired. BTW, TV Land shows programs as they originally aired, no syndication cuts.

You should at least look into digital cable. it might be cheaper.

odd, i get just fine reception when its raining, maybe that had something to do with the fact that it was raining when my satellite was put in tho.

Over 120 channels, including Sci-Fi and local channels, for about $44 a month.

Sci-Fi only had the rights to a handful of MST's. Comedy Central is really the bad guy, since they have 'em all and won't show them. I get my MST fix from Netflix these days.

I was happy to hear about that, until I found out that Commander Cain is now Admiral Cain, Adama's superior officer. Oh, yeah... Cain got the sex-change operation, just like Starbuck.
This is just like the Highlander, There can be only one. Dosent Verizon already own Direct TV. Zoom all but went under. Who will be suprised when Verizon and Comcast merge.
BTW: It might be time to get a new HDTV with a QAM tuner or in short time those analog sets wont get anything even with your neighbors feed.
