MY NEW PET PEEVE

I just spent my lunch hour at the grocery store. I was so ticked off by the time I left, I had sweat rolling down my face.

First of all, (and I'm not knocking stay at home mom's) but is the noon hour the ONLY hour in the day that they can schedule hauling their screaming bawling children to the grocery store???? I mean come on... those of us who work 50 hours a week use our lunch hour to get things done, not to tango in the isle trying to get around a passle of "play group" kids on a field trip!

To top it all of... after my $260 worth of groceries, there was no one left to sack them for all the "mommy groups" so I sacked them myself and had to carry them out myself, all so I can get back to work and fume over it.

I think there should be a law against people who don't work to stay out of the grocery store from 11am to 1pm during the week and let us workers have the opportunity to get our stuff done.

Anyway, done venting... like I said I have nothing against stay at home moms as long as they stay at home during the lunch time hours.

Well, we held a reenactment of the Salem witch trials, at night.
Only we camped it up somewhat.

The neighbors, ever watchful of our doings, stood in their kitchen shaking and shivering in the dark while we presided over the trials of some unholy unsavory ypes, represented by action figures and plastic german soldiers.

I took my daughters on a field trip to a scrap steel recycling facility with a huge shredder that chewed up cars whole. They looked cute in their Mickey Mouse coveralls & work boots. And they LOVED it!

They have been to concrete plants, pushed the detonator to blast a shelf at a rock quarry and had rides in real race cars.

After Labor day, I arranged a trip to our local Coast Guard station, with a boat trip. The senior Chief is going to see if they can shoot the M-60's.

Every time we pull out in the car, they get a science field trip.

Geez, all we did was flaming tonka's with Estes rockets attached, and tanks full of gas. That was sacrifice enough.

Ok I'll admit..my hubby has done some stuff (pre children) where I stood back and thought

"You know its crazy..it's dangerous...but it looks like a heck of a time"

We have 2 boys now and I am constantly telling him "Please don't tell THOSE stories to our boys...I want them to live to be healthy happy old men!!!

Hmmmmmmmmm my day starts at 5am & "quitting" time is around 11pm.(7 days a week 365 days a year)

This struck me as funny....everyone who sleeps 5-6 hours a night has an 18-19 hour "day"....
