I can recall reading some rather humorous articles in the Thai newspapers about a European restriction on the amount of curvature bananas could have (intended to restrict import sources). LOL

One of the definite pluses of living in Southeast Asia is the variety and quality of the Fruits and veggies. I would love to be able to get in the USA the varieties and freshness of the produce that I have in Chiang Mai. If you ever travel in Asia, try getting produce, particularly fruit in an outdoor market. Wash it well or buy fruit that peels, but try it. The small fat bananas are the best bananas and for my money, Lam Yai is the best fruit over all (for sugar fiends, try Lie Chee).
