'Stros can win 4 of 5 games left..that cuts it to a 6.5 game lead..and that is not impossible with their rotation..

Someone is discounting the Cards rotation, I think. 4 of 5 isn't impossible, but highly improbable.

Essentially the Stro's have to pick up a game per week on the Cards to make it close. I'll take a look at their remaining strength of schedule this evening when I have some time.

Please post your comments....BTW..if you recall two weeks ago I posted a brilliant analysis I did, thowoing that the O's
had the big advantage in the Al EAST, especially because they had 6 more games to play with the Devil Rays..so, what did the O's do?....gawd...

Ultimately, both the 'Stros and the Cards will end up in the playoffs. One as Wild Card "Champion" and the other as Central Division Champ. Obviously the Red Birds are in a much better position to win it outright. Still, I think if anyone can catch 'em it will be Houston--it all depends on whether the 'Stros continue to play at a level beyond that of mere mortals and if the injuries to the Cards starters will take its toll.
