Another spike was hammered into the heart of baseball traditions today.

The Cardinals announced that they were abandoning KMOX for KTRS after 52 years on that station. As part of the deal, the Cards will own 1/2 of KTRS.

I am so pissed I could kick the dog.

It will be so different next year with the new stadium and KTRS radio.

I got my first baseball fix listening to the Cards with my Dad on the radio in Tulsa in the 50's. This sux the big green one. I was 6 years old when they started on KMOX. KMOX is a 'clear' station, meaning that they kick up to 50k watts after sundown. I have listened to the Cards all over the US on KMOX after sundown, now it won't be possible.

JUST DAMN!!!!

Satellite radio means that won't be as important in a few years...I'd wager that within 5 years, if you're on vacation on safari in Keyna, you'll be able to listen to the broadcast of your Cards' games..
