Hendrix sounds to my ear like a fat chick jumping on the tails of about 10 cats.

But to each his own. personally I prefer Leonard Skynard.

You've got that right. Nobody, before or since, has innovated or had such raw natural talent for playing rock guitar. He was the one. Gone too soon.

When Jimi did a blues number like "Red House", he really cooked but I'm not real crazy about a lot of his catalogue; too much Bob Dylan-type stuff for my taste. I always thought "Electric Ladyland" was Jimi's attempt at "Blonde on Blonde."
