I just had to laugh--scanning through the dial and I came upon what I guess was the NPR show "Only a Game". Someone was mentioning the trade that DIDN'T happen in late '03, the one which would have sent Manny to Texas, Nomar to LA Dodgers, and A-Rod to the Sox. The guy was saying that Manny went up to A-Rod
at some point during the next season and said, "Boy, it's
too bad that deal didn't go through and you could have been playing with us". Duh--Manny, if the deal went through
you'd be playing at _Ameriquest Park_ in Arlington, TX! :)
(as in, BOTH would have been with the Sox...)
I'm convinced half the time he has no idea how many out there are.
