I found some LOL lines in Dean Koontz' latest (co-written) book Frankinstein - Book Two City of Night.
"...when is the last time you trusted a reporter?"
"Clueless, "she agreed. "They all want to save the world, but they just end up helping to weave the handbasket."
"The Monster."
"That had to be before political correctness. The Monster, what a self-esteem quasher. These days they'd call him the Different One."
"Still too stigmatizing."
"Yeah, he'd be called the Unusual Beauty..."

I just LOVE his liberal slamming!

Oh yeah, he gets in some really good digs at PC behavior and at left-wing Hollywood mentality. Plus, he's just a great writer. As far as I'm concerned, he just keeps getting better and better.

The only thing I dislike about Koontz' style, is his fascination with flora...
It's always "Clematis this" and "Bougainvillea that".
I did really enjoy "Watchers", but I'm a Golden Retreiver fan, so it was right up my alley...

I saw this and it made me wonder if you've read Watchers yet?

I love just about everything he's ever written. "One Door Away from Heaven" was my book during the Schiavo ordeal and it was uncanny how he paralleled that issue. What a genius!

Only thing I read of his was Phantoms. Loved it.
That was back in the days when I had time to read.

I've read about 20 of his books, but not Watchers. I'll get it.

I love just about everything he's ever written.I loved "The Taking." It is basically a retelling of the "Noah's Ark" story (with Space Aliens, of course).

The only one I've stopped reading was "Intensity." I just couldn't handle the.......well, the intensity of it. Extremely well written, just too intense for me.
Right now I'm almost finished with "From the corner of his eye". Excellent. But it's the only one with NO DOGS. Amazing. I really miss the dogs.

I've read alot of his and Watchers is the best.

I have so many of his books. Steven King writes like a first grader compared to Koontz. I have many of his books a well. Frank Herbert was great too.

When Koontz writes a series on par with the Dark Tower, then you can talk!
To: bikepacker67
I have the first 'Dark Tower.' I got angry at King for splitting them up. What ever became of Roland, I have no idea. I only have 25-30 of his books.
Dean, IMHO writes more intelligently than King. Kings writing style reminds me of Hannitys. It's like they're using smaller words so as not to confuse the reader.

It's a flash-enhanced site.
Do you have the flash plugin?
To: EggsAckley
Did you see the TV movie "Intensity". It was great. Pretty much followed the book. Starred John C. McGinley.
