I find Clancy's books overly technical, unless you're a nuclear physicist or an engineer.
And his plots are only slightly less convoluted than Robert Ludlum's.

B&N or Amazon had an entry for his new novel which was originally due out on 5/31/06, then some months later switched the date to 5/31/07. I don't see the entry any longer.
I always enjoyed his novels (not necessarily the NetOps series). For now I'm reading Reagan Diaries.
