Buy a used car... preferably about three or four years old so the car has trade-in value. Stick with a brand that has a "corporate" cachet to it - Cadillac, Infiniti, Lexus, Lincoln-Mercury and M-B are your best bets. Buy in cash and when it comes to the particular car the features are important than color. Ask the dealer lots of questions. When you narrow it down to a particular car you're interested in, run a Carfax check and have an independent mechanic inspect the car and give and opinion as to whether any costly repairs are needed. If the car has a clean bill of health, title and mechanical reliability wise, close the deal and enjoy the car of your dreams. Good luck!

This is good advice. I just went through the same "what to buy" myself. I bought a BMW Roadster which is fun to drive, but I was very impressed with the plush interior of the Infiniti M45 and would have purchased that if I wanted a sedan. SUVs are fine for families toting groceries but not so great for clients.
