Sorry for the vanity, but I do respect the opinions of the posters on this board, who also possess a great wealth of information. With that said, I am in the process of buying a car, and wanted your advice.
Here is the deal. I am a young attorney at a large corporate law firm. I have about $40,000 to spend. I need something that I can drive clients around in, yet hopefully is fun to drive, reliable, and that my estemeed colleagues will not view with disdain. I am not opposed to buying a used car, and would prefer not to lease.
I am not a car guy, so any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
Get a Beemer.
Thanks everyone.
Seems that the Lexus GS and Infniti Q35 were posted the most. Both seem like great cars, I will check them out.
Toyota Rav4. Cool looking car. A sort of a cross between an SUV and a sedan. Run pretty well from what I've heard.

Actually saw that car driving down the highway one day, many years back. It was fast!
Sounds like another boring ugly over-rated riceburner is about to hit American roads. Japan thanks you for the support and your American dollars.
And what is your recommendation?
I gave my recomendation in post number 103. I purchased a Bonneville SSE for use with customers and I would compare it for luxury, maintainability (now 134,000 miles), features, gas milage, comfort and styling with anything made by Japan.
When I first clicked on the picture I thought it was a film clip from the movie. Then I looked closer and saw that it was a show car. I would love to have seen it grooving on down the highway!
